This is one of the easiest methods of raising funds for your FFA chapter...in several ways. The average American household subscribes to 5 different magazines (I wonder how they have time to read all of them). But, nonetheless, its a fact. Your FFA chapter can profit from this. You can set up your own webpage to sell magazine subscriptions online. You have no inventory to hold on to, no money to collect & no order forms to collect. When you sign up, you are given your very own online store, which offers your customers the choice of well over 600 popular magazine titles. You will profit 40% of the subscription price. If you have 100 FFA members, with each one selling 5 subscriptions (average profit of $6.25 each) , that would equal a payoff of approximately $3100.00 - for relatively no work on  your part. The only thing you might do is create a flyer to help your students promote the fundraiser.

Plus, if you have a chapter website, you can place your banner ad (which redirects to your magazine store) on your homepage, which can make it easy for your visitors to purchase, as well.

My chapter has signed up on this. We have actually bought some magazine subscriptions for our classrooms through this program and made a little money back in return.

I know a lot of us are engaged in our fall fundraisers right now...whatever that might be. Some are selling fruit, while others are selling gourmet meats. But, I wanted to let everyone know about a simple fundraiser that you may not have thought of that can bring some much needed, or just extra funds into your program for something specific, such as a trip or CDE registation fees.

I purchased a sample pack of lollipops a couple of weeks ago, at the request of my students. I figured it couldn't hurt, as "suckers" last quite a long time. I sold 60 lollipops in a day and a half, just to my students at the end of every class. I was quite shocked at how fast they sold. Since we can only hold a couple of fundraisers per year, our advisory committee will be sponsoring this fundraiser and our members will be selling these during their classes. The money raised will go towards the expense of our state FFA convention at the end of March.

Even though you will only being making a .25 profit on each lollipop sold, you would be surprised to see how fast this will add up...especially with several kids participating. You will profit $144.00 per case sold.

If this interests you, click on the banner below to order one of their fundraising catalogs or to begin this fundraiser, click on the FastTrack Fundraising logo, find the "Fundraising by Product" section and click on the "Everlasting Lollipop Fundraiser" link to get started now.

fundraising ideas

As ag teachers, we are always looking for ways to bring in more money for our FFA chapter, right? And, we know that the concept of "going green" has been a hot topic for a few years now. So, I am asking you to consider incorporating the "fundraising" and "green" ideas into one. With the beginning of the new school year fast approaching for most of us, there is no better time than right now to sign up for this FREE program, so it will be in place when the students arrive.

The FundingFactory is a recycling company that pays for empty ink jet printer cartridges, as well as laser printer cartridges and old cell phones. You can encourage your students to save their empty cartridges and start collecting from their family members, as well.

Additional benefits of the FundingFactory Fundraising Program:
Free shipping supplies and 100% paid shipping
Complete online account visibility to see the contents of each shipment, payment history, upcoming promotions and more
Over 50 free customizable marketing materials
World-class customer service representatives
• Countless contests and other promotions offering prizes such as iPods, pizza parties, digital cameras, die-cut equipment, color printers, movie tickets and others
•   Top prices paid for used printer cartridges and cell phones   •   Providing used cartridges and cell phones for remanufacture or refurbishment so they are not dumped into the nation's landfills

Earning additional funds for your program can be as easy as holding a contest between your students in all of the ag classes that are taught in your school. Or, you can do what I am planning on for the new year, and that is offering extra credit for students that bring in any of the items mentioned above. The money raised from our students will be used to buy additional plaques for our awards banquet next spring. Below the logo is their brochure. Please take some time to read it and see if this free and easy way to raise supplemental funds is right for your FFA chapter. If so, please click on the logo or the link below it to sign up.
